JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The GMP Cleaning Technician-I position will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) cleanrooms and supporting areas of Plough Center in accordance with US-FDA (The United States Food and Drug Administration) regulations and ICH (The International Conference on Harmonization) guidelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares sterile and reusable cleaning components and all cleaning equipment prior to and after cleaning schedules.
2. Prepares cleaning and sanitation solutions and cleaning materials to GMP specifications.
3. Follows and executes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
4. Documents solution prep and cleaning activities in logbooks according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP's).
5. Prepares chemicals and cleans floors, ceilings, walls, fixtures, etc...
6. Empty trash cans and keep the warehouse area and Quality Control Laboratory area clean.
7. Mops, scrubs, spot cleans, and maintains carpeting, tiles, and floors. Washes and buff floors with floor polisher.
8. Clean glass doors and windows. Wipe clean all ledges, sills, and doors.
9. Buff, strip, machine scrub and (or) refinish tile floors, vacuum rugs and carpet, shampoo carpeted areas.
10. Maintain up-to-date inventories of cleaning supplies and PPE.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
