The incumbent will provide support for clinical research and technical assistance in the research trials conducted by the Division of Hematology/Oncology. This position assists with administrative and patient care activities required by the research studies. The incumbent has knowledge of all study protocols, recruit study participants and perform patient testing as directed by the physician/Principal Investigator in accordance with Food and Drug Administration, ECU Institutional Review Board, study sponsor and principal investigator guidelines and regulations. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to case manage patients, document history, schedule testing and maintain open communication with patients and physicians. The incumbent is knowledgeable about the rights of patients as study subjects, maintain study records, educate patients, conduct clinical procedures and interact with study sponsor representatives (pharmaceutical companies, private foundations, NIH, etc.), as directed by Division physicians.
