<p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><strong>Major Responsibilities</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Clinical Product Purchasing and Inventory Management - 85%<br /><span style="color:#515151;">This responsibility divides the functions of purchasing and the physical handling of materials on an equal basis:</span></span></span></p><ul><li>Coordinate the purchase of materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels for program tenants through:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Ordering of materials based on inventory levels and requests by programs</li><li>Modifying order frequency and quantities based on program’s levels of activity and inventory levels</li><li>Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of supplier lead times</li><li>Monitoring and follow-up status of placed orders and adjust activities as needed to ensure timely receipt of materials. Track problems shipments and notify Program Coordinators of material receipt delays.</li><li>Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of project warehouses</li></ul></li><li>Ensure Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Good Manufacturing Practices regulatory compliance and University of Minnesota financial and Environmental Health Services regulatory is maintained through:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Segregation of released, quarantine and research and development materials</li><li>Receiving and processing of stock inventory returns to released inventory</li><li>Thorough documentation that ensures the full traceability from cradle to grave of materials</li><li>Ensuring materials are purchased through vendors meeting the MCT qualification criteria</li><li>Performing material transfers prior to movement of material from warehouses</li><li>Performing work according to established Standard Operating Procedures. Generating revisions of application controlled documents as needed.</li><li>Maintain appropriate quality control documentation as defined by Standard Operating Procedure</li></ul></li><li>Manage Adequate Inventory Levels Through:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Electronic receipt and issue of materials in electronic materials resource planning database</li><li>Accurately generating labels indicating material lot numbers, expiration dates and other pertinent material information</li><li>Application of MCT inventory labels to each material</li><li>Review of MCT approved specification against received items</li><li>Generation and review of monthly expiry reports</li><li>Generation and review of monthly cycle counts</li></ul></li></ul><p>Ship Samples/Equipment - 8 %</p><ul><li>Utilize approved shipping vendors</li><li>Ship samples according to customer’s handling requirements</li></ul><p>Miscellaneous Assignments and Projects - 7%</p><ul><li>Perform according to supervisor requests</li></ul>
<p><strong>All required qualifications must be documented on application materials. </strong></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>BS degree in Purchasing/Material Management or related field with at least 2 years of experience working in a busy material warehouse; or a combination of related education and work experience to equal six (6) years.</li><li>Experience with purchase and material management and inventory management. Proficiency with software. Knowledge of purchasing principles, stock and shipping nomenclature. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment. Demonstrated interpersonal/ communication skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Supervisory experience</li><li>Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration cGMP documentation requirements. Knowledge of University sponsor and non-sponsor requirements. </li><li>Experience with Sage/MAS90 ERP database. Experience working with University of Minnesota EFS. Experience working in a Food and Drug Administration GMP facility.</li></ul>
