Job Posting: The Clinical Research Finance Associate supports clinical trial budget invoicing sponsored by industry. Ensures compliance with all federal and local agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board (IRB). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists with invoicing sponsors, patient research billing, reimbursement to ancillary departments and payment tracking 2. Use and assist with the management of the CTMS and accounts receivable 3. May build clinical trials and budgets into the CTMS and maintain throughout the trial 4. Post payments to the CTMS 5. Assist in monitoring outstanding invoices and follow up with sponsors to collect unpaid invoices 6. Produce reports from the CTMS for management 7. Assists with reconciliation of received payments 8. Maintain an organized work flow with expertise with Excel Spreadsheets 9. Works closely with the Clinical Research staff 10. Ensures compliance with all federal and local agencies including the FDA and IRB 11. Maintains research practices using Good Clinical Practice guidelines 12. Maintains strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law 13. Participates in required training and education programs 14. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities This job requires a strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice in Clinical Trials. Have experience and in-depth knowledge of CTMS. In addition, strong interpersonal skills are needed to work effectively with patients, their physicians and/or families; pharmaceutical company representative and other project personnel. This individual must demonstrate excellent communications skills, written and verbal, and have the ability to be consistently accurate, as well as have the ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelors in related field preferred. Experience in computer and database skills including graphics and spreadsheets, such as MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint are essential.
